Dr Stefania Residori (PhD)

President

Director of Research at CNRS, seconded for the creation of HOASYS and President of HOASYS. With a PhD from the University of Florence, she worked at the National Institute of Optics in Italy before joining CNRS. An internationally recognized expert in nonlinear optics, imaging, liquid crystals, and interferometry systems. She is a Fellow of the optics society Optica.

Dr Umberto Bortolozzo (PhD)

General director

Seconded from the University of Côte d’Azur for the creation of HOASYS and General Director of HOASYS. After a thesis in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Padua, he obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis and a PhD in Complex Systems from the University of Florence. A Marie-Curie fellow, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the École Normale in Paris. His expertise is internationally recognized in optics, imaging, holography, interferometry, optical fibers, telecommunication systems, and optical metrology. He is a Senior Member of the optics society Optica.

Dr Tommaso Occhipinti (PhD)

Strategy and Business

After a thesis in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Padua, he obtained a PhD in Quantum Astronomy from the University of Padua. He is the Marketing Director at HOASYS. He was a co-founder and manager of Adaptica Srl and is currently a consultant at Eng. Occhipinti Consulting. He has extensive experience in research and innovation in optics, adaptive optics, astronomy, quantum optics, biomedical imaging, and ophthalmology.

Dr. Yan Feng (PhD)

R&D Project

Postdoctoral at the BiiO laboratory, Yan Feng holds two doctorates, one in Instrument Science and Technology from USTC in China and the other in Physics from Herriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom. She has several years of experience in Research and Development in optics, imaging systems, astronomy, and biomedical fields.

Professor of Universities-Hospital Practitioner (ophthalmologist surgeon and researcher), Director of the BiiO laboratory (Biology, Engineering, and Imaging for Ophthalmology) and Head of the ophthalmology department at the University Hospital of Saint-Etienne and the hospitals of St-Chamond, Firminy, Annonay, Roanne, and Montbrison. Holder of numerous patents, his innovative and translational capabilities in the world of medical technologies and ophthalmological biotechnologies are recognized worldwide.

He has been a member of the prestigious Institut Universitaire de France and President of the Clinical Research and Innovation Department at the University Hospital of St-Etienne. Co-holder, with his colleague Professor Philippe Gain, of numerous patents, his innovative and translational capabilities in the world of medical technologies and ophthalmological biotechnologies are also recognized worldwide.
